At Farmfresh Fine Foods there are serval Prerequisite programs to help reduce risks in the Business and help manage the Site, these include:​

  • Personal Hygiene​ and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Policy

HACCP

Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point

HACCP is a management system in which food safety is addressed through the analysis and control of biological, chemical, and physical hazards from raw material production, procurement and handling, to manufacturing, distribution and consumption of the finished product.

There are seven key principles that make up HACCP.

  1. Conduct a Hazard Analysis
  2. Identify the Critical Control Points (CCP)
  3. Establish Critical Limits
  4. Monitor CCP
  5. Establish Corrective Action
  6. Verification
  7. Record keeping
  8. The HACCP program does not stand alone at Farmfresh Fine Foods

What is Halal and Haram.

  • Halal means that it is permitted and conforms to Islamic dietary laws.​
  • A product is considered Halal if as a whole  it does not contain any substance or ingredient taken or extracted from a Haram Animal or ingredient.​
  • Haram means that it is not permitted.​
  • A product is considered Haram if as a whole  it does contain any substance or ingredient taken or extracted from a Haram Animal or ingredient.  These include insects, certain animals and types of animals, as well as animals not slaughtered in a Halal manner. 

To help manage and ensure the site conforms to Halal Standards the Company has appointed a Halal Management Team. The Team consists of:

  • General Manager (Andrew Gerry)
    • The General Manager shall be responsible for providing adequate resources and support to ensure all Halal Programs and requirements are met.
  • Technical Manager (Doug Smyth)
    • The technical manager shall be responsible for ensuring this procedure is followed.
  • Quality Coordinator (Tatiana Marin)
    • The Quality Coordinator shall be responsible for scheduling and conducting Internal Audits and assist with any external Audits.
