Personal Injuries – Existing and New
Any person who gains a cut or wound must immediately advise a supervisor and exit the factory to have the wound treated /covered by a First Aid Officer.
Any employee that is in any way suffering from illness, infected skin lesions (boils, cuts etc.) or discharges from the eyes, ears or nose, must immediately inform the Production Manager prior to entering the factory.
An incident report must be completed, signed by the employee and handed to the First Aid Officer who will complete the injury section.
Band aids, if required, must be of a blue colour and metal detectable– available from the First Aid Kits. Only First Aiders can provide items from the kit.
There are two chemical showers / eye washing stations. One is located in the chemical room and the other at the entry of the factory, beside the retort area.
